THE LONG VERSION

Deanna Hong is an Emmy award-winning visual storyteller based in Los Angeles.

She is best known for her work as the Team Videographer for UCLA Gymnastics, a position she has held since 2014. Her story-driven, athlete-focused approach to content creation has placed her at the forefront of gymnastics storytelling (ranging from shooting Katelyn Ohashi’s viral floor routine, to a seven-part docuseries, to short docs with Olympic champions, to honoring survivors of sexual abuse).

In 2016, she earned an Emmy as part of the NBC Olympics team that produced the digital gymnastics recap show Daily Dismount during the Rio Olympics.

In 2018, she joined Fox Sports for their coverage of the FIFA World Cup and was the only woman on a team of over 30 Premiere editors. In 2019, she returned to Fox as an editor for the FIFA Women’s World Cup. She is also a Post Story Producer for NFL Network’s Original Content department.

Beyond her work in sports, she specializes in behind-the-scenes videography and has worked in music & entertainment with clients such as Brittany Snow, Pentatonix, Superfruit, Travis Wall, and Citizen Queen.

Deanna is most passionate about telling the stories of empowered women who leave a positive impact on our world. She aims to increase representation and amplify the voices of women, people of color, and the LGBTQ+ community.
