Some reflections on my time with UCLA Gymnastics:

Since I became Team Videographer in 2014, I have often pondered the purpose of my role with the team, beyond just trying to boost follower counts on Instagram and view counts on YouTube. Only recently have I been able to put it into words.

My high school English teacher always preached that we must always answer the question, "So what?"

We just won our 7th National Championship. So what? We're the most-followed women's team in college sports on social media. So what? We have the most diverse roster in college gymnastics. So what?

My job is to answer that question - "So what?"

My job is to show people who these women are - as student-athletes, as teammates, and as people. Because once you see how funny, loving, hard-working, and relatable they are, it's impossible not to fall in love with them.

Since I started working with the team four years ago, we've put a lot of focus into growing and maintaining our Instagram presence. Here are some of my contributions to the team's IG account, which now has over 200,000 followers.

We stand with all the survivors.
