ICELAND

In April 2017, some friends and I rented a camper van and made our way around the Ring Road in Iceland. I'd never seen anything like it, and it now holds a special place in my heart. Thankfully, I decided to document our trip with an Instagram video recap of each day, so we'll have the memories forever.

ICELAND - DAY SIX | Finally found a warm/comfortable sleeping arrangement on our final night, the Germans taught the Americans how to drive stick, Geysir and Gullfoss, returned Benny our @happycampers_ van, then finally made our way to Reykjavík for our last night all together. Can't believe our Icelandic adventure is coming to an end, gonna miss this crew 😢❤️🇮🇸 @aliciawunder @lorraineinlax @charlottedrury

ICELAND - DAY FOUR | @aliciawunder and I lost @charlottedrury in Hverfjall crater (fun fact: you can spot her in the close-up shot of the center of the crater), sick day for @lorraineinlax, and one last trip to our favorite secret lava fissure/hot spring. Drove through Akureyri (a true metropolis compared to what we've seen in recent days) for some heart-shaped stop lights and Icelandic hot dogs. ICELAND - DAY TWO | Seljalandsfoss waterfall, Vík's black sand beach, Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, and lots and lots of driving. Iceland, you've stolen my heart... and the hope that I might ever be warm again. @lorraineinlax @aliciawunder @charlottedrury

ICELAND - DAY FIVE | Our last full day with Benny, our campervan. Barnafoss waterfall, west coast driving, exploring some ravines (Hvannabrekka) with @charlottedrury, and checked out the divide between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates at Þingvellir National Park. @aliciawunder @lorraineinlax

ICELAND - DAY THREE | Surprise fjords, secret waterfall, secret bathing fissure. Basically, we had the best day ever. HUGE shoutout and thank you to @katrinbriem for being the best long-distance Icelandic host ever. Also, @charlottedrury made us dinner and Katrín hooked us UP with a warm hotel room, but I was too tired to shoot all of that. @aliciawunder @lorraineinlax

ICELAND - DAY ONE | Eventful transatlantic flight, got hooked up with our @happycampers_ van and set off on our Icelandic adventure. Currently cannot feel my fingers but so happy to be here with this crew ☺️ @charlottedrury @lorraineinlax @aliciawunder
